The Publicans bring together the spirit of Irish folk with the energy and melodic edge of English indie rock and pop, creating a sound that is lively, distinctive and made for a festival crowd.
Described as the unlikely offspring of The Pogues and The Lightning Seeds, the band wear their influences proudly while putting their own stamp on every performance. Their original material blends traditional folk character with upbeat indie songwriting, strong melodies and plenty of personality.
Live, The Publicans are all about energy, honesty and connection. Their performances are delivered with reckless enthusiasm, giving each song a raw, celebratory feel that suits packed pubs, live venues and festival stages alike.
For CrownFest, expect a set full of infectious rhythms, memorable choruses and a sound that bridges generations and genres.
